Frequently Asked Questions

1. May I bring children? This retreat is for single adults 18 years or older only. Children are allowed only with pre-approval, and no childcare will be available.
2. May I bring my pet? Must check with hotel. Prior arrangements are required to bring a guide dog or service animal.
3. Can I attend only one day, and if so, is there a reduced cost? If you are unable to attend for the entire three days, please contact the event organizer to discuss your situation. This will best be answered when we know your individual situation and needs.
4. What is the dress code? This is camp casual. Weather can be varied – sunny and warm, rainy and cold or both! It is suggested to bring casual, comfortable clothing that can be layered. Prepare for rain with a rain coat or umbrella.
Bring hiking shoes/boots if you are planning to go hiking. Bring a warm coat as the evening temperatures drop.
5. Can I bring a cooler? Yes, coolers are allowed. Small refrigerators are in the rooms. Reminder: NO alcohol is permitted at the camp.
6. Are the rooms locked? Rooms are locked. You will receive keys at registration.
7. What is the cancellation policy? Full refund, LESS $20 service fee up until April 12. No refund after that time; however, your registration is fully transferable to another attendee anytime up to the start of the retreat.
8. Do you have options for food restrictions (gluten-free, diabetic, vegan, etc)? The retreat tries to accommodate most food restrictions but due to unless extreme cases we are limited. Please note any special food requirements on registration form. There will be a refrigerator and microwave in your room for people who need to bring their own food.
9. Is financial assistance available? We don't want anyone to stay home because of finances. If you have a need for financial assistance some partial scholarships are available. If the Lord has blessed you financially, you are welcome to donate to this fund on the registration page and as monies are made available we will offer partial scholarship assistance on a case-by-case basis. Please notify us if this is a concern. Thank you in advance to those willing to help those who are in need of financial assistance -- with your assistance we are able to bless attendees each year with financial assistance.
10. I don't know anyone that is attending. Is there a way to connect with someone that might want to share a room? Based on your room selection, we will do our best to assign you with a roommate for double occupancy. If you choose 3-4 occupancy in a room, your roommates must register with you.
11. Is carpooling available? If you desire to carpool, please let us know at donna@holmestek.com, and we will try to connect you with others from your area who may also be interested.
